Restore Your Smile, Keep Your Schedule

CEREC technology allows us to create strong, customized, tooth-colored ceramic restorations right here in the office, usually within a single appointment. No temporary or second visit is required and the aesthetics are beautiful.

In the course of one visit, we can prepare your damaged tooth, create an optical impression of the tooth, and use CEREC to design and mill precision restoration, which is then permanently bonded to your tooth. No mess, no discomfort, no wait. Get the smile you want and get back to your life. We know you’ve got more important things to do.

CEREC restorations are not available for all teeth or situations. Please contact us for an appointment if you are interested in CEREC restorations.

Most dental restorative methods require more than one visit to the dentist. This means that on the first visit, you get an injection of anesthesia, your tooth prepared, an impression taken, and a temporary restoration put on your tooth. You make a second appointment for a couple of weeks later, get another injection, have the temporary pried off (if it hasn’t fallen off already), and have a permanent restoration put on. Why go to the dentist a second time when you don’t have to? With CEREC, the procedure is done in a single appointment, start to finish. A CEREC tooth restoration isn’t just convenient, it is also healthy.

Many years ago, dentists had few options to repair decayed and damaged teeth other than amalgam, gold, and other metals. With CEREC, Aptos dentists Drs. Jason and Allyson Drew can use strong, tooth colored ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function. These materials closely match the composition of natural tooth structure. This means when you eat hot food and then drink something cold, the restoration and tooth expand and contract at almost equal rates. So, your tooth does not crack, and you can go on enjoying your evening. Also, the materials are chemically bonded to your tooth, so your dentist can save as much healthy tooth structure and tissue as possible while providing you with a dental restoration that strengthens your tooth.

CEREC is proven technology, with two decades of clinical research and documentation.

Aesthetics and convenience converge to offer an eye-pleasing and quickly obtained solution to damaged teeth in a single visit. Ceramic restorations are metal free, biocompatible, anti-abrasive and plaque resistant. using CEREC and advanced-bonding techniques, we are able to restore your teeth to their original strength and function.

More than nine million CEREC restorations have been performed worldwide.

CEREC is ideal for fillings (inlays and onlays), crowns, veneers, and more.

DIGITAL IMPRESSION

After examining the tooth and determining the course of treatment, we will prepare your tooth for restoration, similarly to traditional treatment methods. Your prepared tooth will be coated with a safe, tasteless powder.

CEREC then uses a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera to create an optical impression. This digital image replaces the physical impression required in traditional procedures. No more long waits while a tray of impression goop hardens in your mouth.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN (CAD)

State-of-the-art CAD software allows us to design every precise detail of your restoration with the precision you’ve come to expect from us. The software allows us to customize the shape of the restoration to exactly fit your specific clinical needs.

MILL AND PLACE

Exact design specifications are sent to our on-site milling machine to create your restoration while you wait. A short while later, your all-ceramic, color-matched restoration is ready for placement. Your new restoration is then fitted, polished and bonded for permanence.

Your tooth is restored back to is natural form, function and beauty.
