Losing most or all of your teeth, or struggling with a denture that never feels secure, affects everything from what you eat to how often you smile. Full arch dental implants replace an entire upper or lower set of teeth with a restoration anchored to implants. With Teeth in a Day, many patients walk out with a full set of fixed teeth on the same day their implants are placed.
At Drew Dental, Dr. Jason Drew and Dr. Allyson Drew offer several full arch implant solutions, so your treatment is matched to your bone, your budget, and how you want your new teeth to feel. We serve patients throughout Aptos, Capitola, Soquel, and Santa Cruz County.

Teeth in a Day, also called same-day or single visit dental implants, means your implants are placed and a fixed set of temporary teeth is attached in the same appointment. You do not go home without teeth, and you do not wear a removable denture while you heal.
It is important to know how the full process works:
So you get fixed teeth in a day, and your permanent final teeth after healing. Same-day teeth are not right for every patient; they depend on the implants being stable when placed. Your 3D scan and exam will show whether it is an option for you.
“Permanent dentures” is a common way to describe teeth that are fixed to dental implants. Unlike a traditional denture, they are not removed at night and do not use adhesive. They are removed only by your dentist for professional cleaning and maintenance. All-On-4 and Locator Fixed are both examples of fixed full arch solutions.
| Option | Implants per arch | Fixed or removable | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| All-On-4 | 4 | Fixed; removed only by the dentist | Patients who want fixed teeth, often on the day of surgery, including many with bone loss |
| Locator Fixed | 4 or more | Fixed; removed only by the dentist | Patients who want fixed teeth with a design that is simpler for the dentist to maintain and repair |
| CONUS overdenture | 2 to 4 | Removable by the patient, with a very secure fit | Patients who want a secure feel close to fixed teeth at a lower cost, with an open palate |
| Implant overdenture | 2 to 4 | Removable by the patient; snaps into place | Patients who want a more stable denture at the most accessible cost |
Many patients start with an overdenture and upgrade to a fixed solution later. We plan treatment so that path stays open whenever possible.
Full arch implants may be right for you if you:
Good general health supports healing. We review your health history, medications, and habits such as smoking before recommending treatment.
We start with an exam, your health history, and a 3D cone beam scan. We review your options side by side and design the look of your new smile with you.
Implant positions are planned digitally around your bone, sinuses, and nerves. Your temporary teeth are prepared in advance so they are ready on surgery day.
With local anesthetic and optional sedation, any remaining teeth are removed, the implants are placed, and your fixed temporary teeth are attached.
You follow a soft diet and return for checkups while the implants integrate with the bone over several months.
We take new records, fabricate your final bridge, and fine-tune your bite so everything feels natural.
Every case is different. The main factors are:
After your consultation and 3D scan, you receive a written treatment plan and estimate for each option that fits your situation. Financing options are available.
Multiple solutions under one roof. Because we offer All-On-4, Locator Fixed, CONUS, and implant overdentures, our recommendation is based on what fits you, not on the one system a practice happens to offer.

Planning technology. In-office 3D cone beam imaging lets us plan every implant precisely before surgery.
Comfort options. Sedation is available for patients who feel anxious about dental treatment.
The implants are designed to be a long-term solution. The teeth you receive on surgery day are a fixed temporary bridge. After several months of healing, they are replaced with your final bridge, which is stronger and more refined.
Not every patient. Same-day teeth depend on the implants being stable when they are placed, which depends on bone quality and quantity. Your 3D scan helps us predict this, and we always have a backup plan so you are not left without teeth.
All-On-4 is a technique that supports a full arch of teeth on four implants. Teeth in a Day describes the timing: receiving fixed teeth on the same day as implant surgery. All-On-4 is one of the most common ways Teeth in a Day is done.
It depends on your priorities. Fixed options feel the most like natural teeth and are never removed at home. Removable implant overdentures cost less, are easy to clean, and are far more secure than traditional dentures. We will walk you through both.
Often, yes. Many denture wearers move to an implant overdenture or a fixed full arch solution. In some cases, an existing denture can be adapted as part of the process.
Fixed teeth are cleaned daily with a toothbrush and a water flosser or special floss, with regular professional cleanings. Removable overdentures are taken out and cleaned daily, and the implant attachments are brushed.
You do not have to keep living with failing teeth or a denture you do not trust. Drs. Jason and Allyson Drew will review your 3D scan with you, compare every option that fits your situation, and give you a clear plan and written estimate.
